Micropross announced today the reception of the EMVCo issued approval letter, stating that EMVCo had successfully qualified* Micropross’EMVCo Contactless L1 PCD Analog test tool according to the 2.5 test specification.
This means, EMVCo authorized test laboratories can now start to deploy this new version in order to perform debug and type approval sessions to their customers.

From now on, official EMVCo L1 test laboratories will be able to use this solution to perform type approval sessions in addition to debug. Furthermore, this tool is also available for purchase by industrial companies such as payment terminal designers, or antenna and chipset manufacturers to perform in house debugging of their prototypes, thus helping to shorten their development processes, and speed up their time to market’
The Micropross EMVCo L1 contactless PCD Analog test tool is part of Micropross Contactless Test Station test platform. The Contactless Test Station can be summarized like this : 1 provider, 1 platform, and more than 20 different test suites that can run on top of this platform. For instance, Micropross is the only supplier today that is able to supply all possible EMVCo L1 test suites (PICC analog, PICC digital, PCD analog, PCD digital, Mobile Performance) using the same signal generator (the MP500 TCL3) and the same software environment (MPManager). As a company strongly driving innovation, Micropross has included in the scope of this tool validation a 6 axles positionning robot, allowing a gain in test accuracy, but also in terms of optimisation of the test laboratory’s bandwidth.
