NI announces that FIME, has adopted its EMV® Level 1 v3.0 analog offering.
As a worldwide leader in payments testing and consultancy, they will perform debug as well as official type approval sessions. Contactless terminals, smartcards and mobile devices are concerned. This strategic decision enabled FIME to be among the first laboratories in the world to be accredited by EMVCo. As a result, it allows them to perform validation services according to the new specification.
Stéphane Czeck, director of marketing for NFC and Wireless Charging at NI, commented : “NI is among the first to obtain certification for EMV L1 test tools. It enabled FIME to start its qualification campaign earlier than the competition. The specific laboratory tools, supplied with our EMV L1 analog test suites, considerably accelerated its data collection. Testing against the previous version of the specification will be deactivated from 1st January 2020. So it is crucial for the members of the ecosystem to immediately start to update their products. And consequently meet the new specification. By selecting the NI offering, FIME now has the capacity to support those industries using EMVCo certified test benches.”
FIME is already accredited to perform EMV L1 PCD 3.0 test services in its laboratories in France, Taiwan, South Korea and Canada. They can also make EMV L1 PICC 3.0 test services in their laboratory in South Korea using NI’s Contactless Test Station and the MP500 TCL3.
